I’m Peter Fournier, the founder and developer behind Software Vets. My career spans hands-on software engineering, application architecture, product delivery, and technical leadership. I have built business-critical systems at Hyland Software, led distributed product teams at Bold Group, and guided modernization, partner integrations, and AWS workflows for Progressive Insurance.

Before working in technology, I served as a squad leader and non-commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps. That experience shaped how I approach client work today: understand the objective, communicate directly, take responsibility, and deliver something dependable.

Across those roles, I have worked on customer portals, SaaS products, mobile apps, internal business systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and legacy modernization. The technical range includes C# and .NET, React and React Native, AWS, databases, third-party integrations, and automated delivery. That breadth helps me see the full project—not only the screen in front of a customer, but also the data, security, reliability, search visibility, and maintenance behind it.

It also means I can tell you when a simpler website, a focused integration, or a process change is a better investment than a large custom build. The goal is not more technology. It is the right amount of technology to produce a useful, durable business result.
